I have done my seventh semester internship in Intel India private limited. I ll share my interview experience here……..
Intel interview has single or multiple rounds depends upon your performance. If the interviewer has satisfied with your performance in the first round itself you ll not be interviewed again as well as if the interviewer has decided that you are not eligible for Intel, you ll be rejected at the first round itself. In case if the interviewer has thought that, you are not eligible for his team but to the different team you ll be interviewed again by another team’s interviewer. I have been interviewed for 2 rounds ( but the people who has interviewed at least for one round itself got selected ).
In my first round one cool lady (Mrs.Sujatha) interviewed me. She mainly checked in my area of interest (OOP Concept n DBMS) and mainly in my project too. She asked me to write the project code (only the connectivity part).I was done well in this part. Regarding my area of interest I have performed well only in OOPS. But their main concern is DB it seems. So she just promoted me to second round where the OOPS is main concern.
In second round, I was so tired because I am almost the last person in first round due to the alphabetic order of my name. But in second round I was the first person so no gap in between that.(Why I am saying here is, you people should able to ready for this situation too). In second round first he(Mr.Easwar Ram) started to test me in OOPS. My performance is not so well. Then he asked me about my interest subject in our course. I said Data Structures. He said that his favorite too… He started to test me in that. I have performed well in that. He asked somewhat complex questions in linked list. I have forced to write the code too. I have written the code which is partially correct. From first round he was asking one question in OOP. But he didn’t get the correct answer from anyone it seems. He said this story and asked me the same question with great smile. I just tried. He said partially correct why can’t you write the code for this?. I just laughed soundly and said this is just a trial but code and all not possible. He forced me write the code. That too he said partially correct. Then common HR questions……. But I was so cool till the last moment (because I thought I ll not be getting selected). Then I got selected by him. Fortunately I have escaped from the third panel.
The questions I remember now.
First Round(50 minutes)
I have been interviewed nearly one hour but this much only I have remembered about this round
1. Architecture diagram for my project
2. ER diagram for given problem statement
3. Have to write the query for multiple cases(in this place I did so much comedies)
4. About project
5. Have to write the code for server connectivity for my project( Concentrate on JDBC for this)
SECOND ROUND(1 hour)
1. Tested in class level variable and method variable
2. Storage area of the different type of variables
3. About singleton class with sample code( Toughest question for us, I just did partial and forced to write the code that too partially I have written)
4. In tree last child node has corrupted or deleted due to some fault in system. Now instead of pointing it to null, it is pointing some parent node. How do you find that which is the duplicate node?( I have answered partially and written the code too)
5. Why you didn’t make the data structures as the area of interest even you like that?(toughest question in this round)
6. How do you behave as the efficient team leader?
7. You are the quick learner or medium or slow? I instantly said the first one then he asked the example situation for that
8. Leadership quality
9. Service experience
10. Problem tackling capacity
11. Great responsibility you have undertaken
My personal advice:
1. Be concentrate in your area of interest (whatever it is)
2. Prepare the resume well (First short list depends on resume only)
3. If you dono the answer for any question be cool and say that you dono the answer, don’t act and don’t use any lies there.
4. If they are forced to do something but you are not able to do, tell them frankly
5. Make sure about hard copy of the resume should be in your hands at the time of interview
6. Be sure about basics in all the subjects. In my second round he said, if the candidate is strong in basics only we can teach the concept easily. So be prepare in this.
7. Mainly concentrate on area of interest along with IPT,OOPS,Any programming language
8. Keep in mind that they should not test in advanced concepts and all. Basic is very important
9. Your CGPA will mainly help to get shortlisted not to get selected.
10. you should know all the things which you are mentioned in the resume
……………………………….. GREAT LIFE IS WAITING FOR YOU @ INTEL>> DON’T MISS IT……………………….
